Amy Jackson is a British model and actress who is popular in many Indian films. She was born on 31st January 1991 in a place called Isle of a Man, United Kingdom. She is a second child to British Christian parents named Alan Jackson, a BBC radio producer and mother Marguerita Jackson a horse trainer. At the age of two, her family relocated to their parents’ home in Walton Liverpool to allow her father could carry on his media career.
She attended St. Edward College; a coeducational Catholic school with academy status in the UK located in Liverpool suburb of west derby where she studied English literature, philosophy, and ethics at A level.
At the age of sixteen, she started her modeling career, where she was very successful and managed to Win Miss Teen World in 2009 just at the age of eighteen and the year after Miss Teen Liverpool and Miss Teen Great Britain. In 2010 she participated in the competition for Miss England becoming the second runners up.
Her acting career started when a south Indian film director A.L Vijay came across her pictures in the website of Miss England in 2010, her beauty captivated him and he decided to cast her in his film ‘Madarasapattinam’. Despite having no knowledge in the Tamil language she did well in the movie and was even nominated for the Vijay Awards for the best debut actress.
Her acting career went on smoothly in the Indian industry earning her recognition; in 2012 she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for the best-supporting actress for her role of Sarah Vinayagam in the film ‘Thaandavam’, where she appeared alongside Indian popular actor and actress Arya and Matthieu Bellon.
